âI have managed to do a one day fast for the past 3 weeks. The first one was quite straight forward. Managed it easily. I fasted yesterday and today I am feeling great! I have really cleaned my diet up and have also not had any coffee or alcohol since before the retreat weekend. I have made the sorghum salad and vitality salad. âEngaging, confronting and actionable. My wife and I recently attended Traceyâs three-day fasting retreat. We were aware of the benefits of fasting but wanted to learn more on how we could incorporate this practice into our weekly routines. We got this and so much more; a great venue, great food (yes you do eat) with a group of 20 like-minded individuals all wanting to make improvements in our health and well-being; outstanding facilitating with time focused on sharing and group learning and your pace; confronting content in the seminars that clearly articulated the value of fasting and the impact it will have out our long term health and wellbeing; great recipes for juices, salads and even tofu (yes it can taste pretty delicious); a further bonus of a re-introduction to Yoga and Meditation. Since completing the course now 3 weeks ago I have complete seven days of juice fasting including a 5 day fast, broken my relationship with coffee and added meditation into my daily practice (well most days!). My energy levels have increased and I have dropped 3.5 kgs and it is easy we are not missing out on anything. âIt was so amazing to be part of your fasting retreat. What a fantastic bunch of people you brought together, which made for such an enjoyable weekend, and so much laughter! I loved the location too â so beautiful, green and peaceful. The lineup for the weekend with the combo of health seminars, yoga, meditation and massage really appealed to me right from the start, and the weekend didnât disappoint in any way. Iâve been wanting to find out more about mediation for some time, and since the retreat Iâve added two twenty-minute sessions into my daily routine without much difficulty at all. Itâs amazing how easy it is to find time, even in the busiest of days, when you prioritise your own peace of mind ahead of other tasks and distractions. The cooking demonstrations and Traceyâs food was sublime and a real highlight of the weekend. I love the recipes youâve given us, thank you. Weâve read Jasonâs books and heard his seminars several times, but itâs always good to have the message reinforced and hear about the latest research and somber statistics. I had been wanting to try fasting since I read âEat Less, Live Longâ in 2015, but even though I finished breastfeeding in April 2018, I was apprehensive about how I would cope without food. I was in the habit of eating too much and too often and I found this hard to break. My biggest concern was whether I could fast and still handle the daily trials and tribulations of motherhood with 4 boys(!). The retreat was the perfect opportunity for me to get away and just focus on my heath for a whole weekend, with the added bonus of my husband for company and support. Thankfully the 36 hours fast on the retreat, and the weekly ones Iâve done since were nothing like I had envisaged. The retreat has fundamentally changed my relationship with food. Even on my non fasting days Iâm now more disciplined about only eating at meal times, with fruit as snacks in between if needed, and stopping eating by 7pm every evening. An added bonus from the retreat has been seeing the weight I gained in the last couple of years just fall off without any real effort at all, and Iâm loving fitting my summer clothes I couldnât get into last year. I look forward to being part of one of your retreats in the future to try this out with your support and guidance. ASTHMA
âJust want to thank you for getting my life back. I now have endless amounts of energy, I am fitter than I have ever been and surfing better than I ever have in 30 years. Traceyâs fantastic recipes makes it so easy as I absolutely adore the food. I feel incredible. My sleep has improved out of sight. At 132kg my goal was to get to 90kg and I am now happily at 72kg. My wife and I had been trying to fall pregnant for six years. We were going to start IVF this year however three months into your advice we fell pregnant naturally. Our first baby is due in three weeks! Also Iâve been a mild asthmatic all my life and that also disappeared and I have not had an attack sinceâ

âYou may remember I shared my cholesterol readings with you and my plan to cut caffeine and alcohol, which Iâve mostly managed for the past three months. Did my readings again three months later: my cholesterol has reduced from 6.6 to 4.8, my LDL from 4.2 to 2.7, and my HDL from 1.96 to 1.78. I am so pleased with this as my mum kept telling me Iâd have to go on statins (same as the doctor immediately advised her to do years ago) and that it was genetic and I wouldnât be able to do anything about it! Yes! I did it! Clearly the âgenetic expressionâ Jason refers to is so true! You can tell Iâm a little bit happy!â

âHi Jason, I had the final scan recently and I got the results this week. You will be pleased with yourself because I put it down largely to your diet which Iâve been following pretty rigidly. The outcome was that there has been no change for the worse since September when I had the first scan. The oncologist who was prepared to put me on chemo says they will wait for two more months and give me another scan. If things remain the same they will discharge me. Then she said I should âkeep on doing what Iâve been doingâ. You can imagine how I feel about that. And how grateful I am to you for taking me in hand. âI think the only major problem we both have is when people ask us about our weight loss and new found energy they always ask what âdietâ we are on, we both look at each other and laugh! It is a lot harder than we thought to share what we are doing with people without getting strange comments like âyou guys are crazyâ etc. Now we just tell them we have changed our lifestyle and that seams the easiest way to explain it all. Itâs hard not to speak passionately about what we are doing but people are not always as excited to hear about it and can even become quite challenging on some topics! Even I find it hard to believe that we have nearly cut out all sugar, alcohol, wheat and animal products. The funny thing is when you eat healthy you donât crave that stuff anymore. Itâs the first âdietâ that hasnât felt like we are depriving ourselves of anything. We will be seeing some family and friends in a few weeksâ time who have not seen my husband since before he lost the 14 kilos over the last three months⌠and he has never been so fit and active and happy. I know the reaction is going to be amusing to watch and some may even be interested enough to want to do it themselvesâŚâ

FASTING
âToday is day 2 of the first juice fast my husband and I have done. We are amazed that it has been so easy. We have not yet felt hungry and actually feel quite energetic. It has really shown how much of our eating habits are purely habit⌠The only time we are actually thinking of food seems to be at the usual morning tea, lunch, etc. A freshly made juice is more than satisfying us. I urge anyone thinking about it to give it a goâ

âAs an overweight, over 40, divorced mother of two children I had been feeling a little past my âuse byâ date. Now I feel so much better physically and mentally, and also confident that I have another 50 to 60 years of my life left, free of disease and illness, as long as I continue to look after myself. This gives me hope and makes me feel excited again about my future ⌠I certainly wasnât expecting that! The sheer volume of information â the blogs, articles, recipes â makes you feel safe and part of something bigger: a health revolution. There is always something good to eat â and if thereâs not, just donât eat! All the diets and eating plans Iâve encountered before have pushed eating five to six times a day, never going more than three hours without food for fear your already sluggish metabolism will grind to a halt. âI attended your seminar in Taupo and took in all your information and what a great change it has made to my life. At your seminar I was 72kg and now I am 58kg. I was needing a knee replacement so I was on Naprosyn twice daily and a codeine phosphate at night. I no longer take these pills and only have the odd pain killer if needed, maybe only once a week. My blood pressure is also reduced and I am slowly reducing the medication for that. No knee replacement needed at this time. My doctor said whatever I am doing I must carry on. âI think the only major problem we both have is when people ask us about our weight loss and new found energy they always ask what âdietâ we are on, we both look at each other and laugh!
